Lost City Golf Club is pleased to announce the addition of Brian Varsey to the golf staff as our Director of Instruction. Brian is the lead instructor at Essex Fells Country Club in the summer season and will be here on Opening Day.
Brian grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio and worked at a few clubs there including as the Director of Instruction at Canterbury Golf Club for seven seasons. His resume includes Sankaty Head Golf Club on Nantucket, Sea Island Club in Georgia, and Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo. He coached collegiately at Cleveland State and the University of Oklahoma.
Brian is a certified AimPoint Green Reading instructor, Titleist Performance Institute Level 2 certified and a certified Golf Coach with Dr Rick Jensen. In his instruction he uses video, TrackMan and for putting he uses a SAM Putt Lab. Bran likes to keep instruction simple but also use technology to collect data to enhance learning.
Brian’s biggest influence is Bob Toski. He began working with him over 23 years ago and has spent thousands of hours learning from him. Brian looks forward to using all his expertise to helping you improve your game.
